Book Review: “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” by Agatha Christie

Please note: I first published this book review on the “Goodreads”-website in 2022.

My rating: 5 (of 5) “stars”

I ordered a paperback copy through my local bookstore. There are many editions to choose from.

I read this book many years ago, and when I decided to re-read it a few weeks ago (note: in 2022), I remembered who murdered Roger Ackroyd as soon as that character was introduced. I didn’t care. As I already knew the identity of the murderer, I could focus on the details and admire how Agatha Christie managed to fool the readers while giving them all the clues necessary to solve the murder of Roger Ackroyd. This book is really very good. Hard to believe that it was first published in 1926.
