Book Review: “The Language of Flowers” by Vanessa Diffenbaugh

Please note: I first published this book review on the “Goodreads”-website in 2023.

My rating: 3 (of 5) “stars”

I bought a used Softcover-Edition of this book on zvab.com, originally published in 2012 by Pan MacMillan, which still sells this book (different edition, different cover art, published in 2016).

It was O.K., but I expected more. The “language of flowers” isn’t an integral part of the story’s structure. If the book’s heroine had a different job and didn’t know anything about the “the language of flowers,” the story could still be told in a very similar manner, as none of the major developments in this story are directly linked to flowers and their meanings.
