I just deactivated my Twitter account, it will be deleted in 30 days, if I don’t reactive it before that deadline. I don’t think I will do that. It now looks as if Elon Musk is buying Twitter, and I really don’t want to be on Twitter, if he owns that company and takes it private.
I do think that Elon Musk is a man of vision: PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX.
And I am truly grateful that he is suppliying the Ukrainian military with Starlink-Internet services. I think that is his greatest achievement.
But his “peace plan poll” is insulting to Ukrainians and incredibly thoughtless. So many lives are lost due to Russian agression and Putin’s terrorism, and Musk creates a “poll” about the future of Ukraine? His suggestions are idiotic, there’s really no other way to put it.
He voices similarly stupid ideas about Taiwan’s future.
And his free-speech-without-any-restrictions nonsense would simply result in increased hate speech. He’s said publicly that he would allow Donald Trump back on Twitter.
To have an account with a privately held company, which is owned by Elon Musk…good-bye, Twitter.
